Ovostar Union Group of Companies Introduces New Farming Standards
Ending the year 2019 Ovostar Union introduced the free range poultry framing technology at one of its production site. It’s the first case of free range experience amid large Ukrainian egg producers. Meanwhile the European market counts about 16% of layer hens that are cage free.
The free range farming method stipulates more humane way of rearing the laying hens with access to open air and the possibility to satisfy their natural needs.
The company has already launched fresh eggs branded Volniy Vigool (Free Range) through Ukrainian retailers: Auchan, Billa, Velmart, Metro, Novus, Tavria.
Currently Ovostar Union’s poultry farms are equipped with all modern farming standards for laying hens with compliance to the requirements of the European Commission: enriched cages, barn eggs, free range eggs.
